Japanese Plum Blossoms Fair (Ume-Matsuri) 2014

I went to see Japanese plum at a local museum. They have had plum blossoms festival (Ume-Matsuri) though, it wasn't full bloom yet. It rather be a bit earlier.
地方の郷土館で開催中の梅祭りに行きましたが、まだあまり咲いていませんでした。チョット早かったみたいです。

May be I will try to visit there again.
近いうちにもう一回行ってみようかな。

Hina-nin-gyou Dolls

March 3 is called Hina-matsuri (Dolls Festival) in Japan. People display Hina-nin-gyou dolls like the photos below.
I went a local museum and saw some displays.
３月３日は、ひな祭り。下の写真のようにひな人形を飾ります。
私は地方の博物館に行き、これらの展示を見てきました。

There are many kinds of dolls and many ways of displays. Its origin was something different as recently, however, these dolls became a part of trousseau for the bride.
So when they have a daughter, the parents or grand parents gave these dolls and wished her a happy marriage in the future as the tradition in Japan.
ひな人形は、色々種類があって、飾り方も色々のようです。起源となる故事は今とは異なるようですが、この人形達は嫁入り道具としての役割をしています。
それ故、女の子が生まれると、両親や祖父母がひな人形を贈り、その娘の幸せな結婚を願うというのが伝統になっています。

In some places, they show the dolls to their neighbors.
場所によってはこのようにご近所に披露するところもあるようです。

They are so pretty.
綺麗ですね。

Irresistible

No one can resist his eyes. So irresistible!
テリー君のこの瞳には誰も勝てません。

Not Delivered

They gave me this at the post office.
郵便局でこんなプレゼントをもらいました。　

It was very good!
If the mail man would deliver it to me, it would be great though....
とても美味しかったで～す。
郵便屋さんが届けてくれたらもっと良かったね・・・

His Porridgy Food

Terry had trouble digestion lately. So he was given sort of porridgy dog food.
このところお腹をこわしていたテリー君。ご飯は軟らかくしてもらって食べていました。

He has already recovered.
今はほぼ全快しています。

His appetite is improving.
食欲も出てきました。

Spring Yellow

I went to see a garden park and enjoyed some spring yellow.
The first one is Chimonanthus (winter sweet).

庭園で「春の黄色」を楽しんできました。
まずは蝋梅（ろうばい）。花弁が蝋のような花だと言うことが由来らしいです。

Then I saw some more yellow on the ground.
それから地面にさらなる「黄色」を発見。

They are Crocus.
クロッカスでした。

Spring is coming around the corner.
春はもうそこまで来ていますね。

A Gift From Subaru XV

I got a gift from Subaru XV.　It is an air purifier with Plasuma Cluster function.
スバルXVからこんなプレゼントをもらいました。車載用プラズマクラスター付き空気清浄機です。

Well, Plasuma Cluster's durability is about 20,000 hours. When the time has come, it will need to change the units and it costs a lot. So I think I will keep this new one until the first one will be finished.
まあ、プラズマクラスターは２万時間位使うとユニットを交換しなくてはならなくて、それはかなり高価です。耐久年数が来るまで保管しておいて、２代目として使おうかな。

Baby Kiwi Fruit

I got some baby kiwi fruits at Costco. It rather taste sour so I would wait for a while.
コストコで買ったベビーキーウィ。今回のはチョット酸っぱかったのでしばらく待つことにしました。

Hope it will be ready soon.
早く甘くならないかな～。

Tokyo Marathon 2014 Tomorrow

I have faced a marathon last month and had to make detour though, it rather be a small one.

The starting point is Shinjuku so I can't go there. I want to go farther somewhere but it's difficult for me until my new car will be ready. I should stay home.
スタートは新宿なので、当然お出かけは無理。新しい車が来るまでは、遠方に行くことも出来ないので、お家に籠もってるしかないかな。

Cozy Relaxing Time

It snowed heavy twice in Tokyo. Terry had though time when he goes out for Ps.
Anyway he is relaxing on warm floor with his cozy cushion.
東京は２度も大雪が降りました。テリー君はお外で用を足すのに苦労したようです。
まあとにかく、ヌクヌクの床にお布団でまったりしています。

Hope it will be fine tomorrow.
明日は天気になるといいね。

His Medicine -- Case of Capsule Kind

There are many kinds of medicine available for dogs. But it's hard to give them capsule kind ones.
Well......
色々なお薬がありますが、ワンコにカプセルを飲ませる事は難しい。そこで・・・

Candy of Horse

I almost forgot to upload this. Someone gave me candies of horse shape. Since it's a year of horse.
アップするのをすっかり忘れてましたが、今年の干支、午の飴をいただきました。

Oh well, it was the year for Ji-chan though....
爺ちゃんの干支だったんだよね。

Heavy Snow Again in Tokyo

It became snow day again in Tokyo.
See the photo below. It was 9 in Valentine's Day morning.
週末再び大雪の東京です。
バレンタインデーの朝９時はこんな感じでした。

It became this at 5 in the evening.
それが午後５時になるとこんな事に。

Seems as if we went back to last Friday.
まるで先週末に戻ったみたいです。

Well, this is actual ones of last Friday.
先週金曜日はこんなでしたね。

According to the weather report of yesterday, it was the new record of its snow depth for the first time in 120 years!!
昨日の気象庁報告によれば、今回の積雪量は１２０年間で初めての多さだそうです。

White Valentine's Day of Tokyo

The Valentine's Day in Japan goes like Christmas. People give plenty of chocolate to the others as the gifts.
日本のバレンタインデーはクリスマスみたいです。大量のチョコをプレゼントする人々。

But there are two different things as American way.
First, mostly women give chocolate to men.
Second, men should give something in return for their presents on particular day called "White Day".
でもアメリカと異なる点が二つあります。
第１に、殆ど女性が男性に贈るということ。
第２に、それに応えるため「ホワイトデー」なる、お返しの日があること。

Oh well, Tokyo's Valentine's Day this year became "White Valentine's Day."
ところで今日の東京は「ホワイトバレンタインデー」になりました。

It seems just like last Friday.
Since it's "White" day, so men don't need to give something in return?
先週金曜日と同じようになりました。
ホワイトバレンタインデーになったら、男性はお返ししなくていいのかな？

Buried in Snow

It was incredible snow in Tokyo on weekend.
According to the weather report, such heavy snow was first time in 45 years! What a record!!
My small house garden went as below.
いや～、東京の週末はとんでもない雪でした。
気象庁の報告によれば４５年ぶりの大雪なのだとか。なんということでしょう！
我が家の小さな庭も雪に埋もれてしまいました。

The gate of garden side was buried in snow.
庭側の門扉も埋もれました。

So as my car and the entrance gate.
車と玄関入り口の門扉もこの通り。

My car spot has a roof though....
車庫は屋根があるんですけどね・・・
