Katu-ura Chiba

We went to Katu-ura, Chiba through awesome highway named Umi-hotaru. The name stands for the sea creature named "umi-hotaru."
私たちは海ほたるという素晴らしい高速道路を経由して千葉県の勝浦に行きました。この場所の名前は、海の生物「海ホタル」に由来しています。

We could see beautiful sunset from this place. Unfortunately we could not see Mt Fuji though.
ここからの夕陽も綺麗でした。残念ながら富士山は見えませんでしたが。

We stopped by a hot spot called "Tomiura Biwa Club." These photos are from my second visit there. The cherry blossoms were so pretty then.
話題の富浦枇杷倶楽部にも寄りました。これは２度目の時に撮影したものです。
桜が綺麗でした。

We stayed Katu-ura that night.
この日は勝浦にお泊まりでした。

Katu-ura is known as Hina-maturi, however, this place is also famous.
勝浦はひな祭りが有名ですが、この海岸も有名な場所なんです。

A writer of children's song got some inspirations here and composed "Tsuki no sabaku (it means a moon above the desert)."
Oh, Terry. You guys stand by the back side of the statues.
童謡「月の沙漠」の作詩者がこの場所でインスピレーションを受けたのだとか。

The couples out going the desert surely have a certain air....
確かに、砂漠を行くお二人の雰囲気がいい感じですな。

There is a monument of the song near by the statues.
記念碑も近くにありました。
