In the year 2018 had begun with Terry's tuxedo.
At the end of this year, we had very sad event. This is why I could not update my blog for a long while.
2018年はテリー君のタキシード姿で始まりました。でも、この年が終わるとき、とても悲しい事がありました。それ故に、しばらくの間、ブログを書くことが出来ませんでした。
The tuxedo fitted on Terry perfectly.
タキシード姿が似合うテリー君でした。
Terry had been in very sick for over years. The vet gave him an endoscopy though. We couldn't find the reason. Then the vet gave him another kind exam for just in case. We learned what it was at last. Terry had got cancer of early stage.
It was November 8.
テリー君は、ずっと体調不良が続いていました。そして内視鏡による検査をしたのですが、それでも原因は不明。獣医さんが念のためにと更なる検査を行った所、初期の癌と判明しました。
11月8日のことでした。
But the surgery was not the solution for his case. So we decided to avoid it.
We wanted to defuse the pain of surgery from him. We just wanted to make him less painful as much as possible.
でも、人間と違って手術しても治る見込みはありません。ならば、手術は受けないことにしました。治らないなら、手術の痛みや苦しみを減らしたかったからです。
Since then, we took Terry to the vet everyday for his pain relief treatment..
それから毎日、緩和ケアのため獣医さんに通いました。
We were told that his cancer was early stage but it grew faster than we expected.
Terry went weaker and weaker each day. We felt so sad to see his condition.
初期段階と言われたのに、病気の進行が早くて、日に日に弱っていくテリー君を見るのは本当に辛かったです。
He surely lived each day to the fullest.
Before dawn on December 10th, he passed across the rainbow bridge.
We had a funeral for Terry. We had the one in conformity with our custom, almost the same as human's. So his body was cremated.
本当に頑張って生きていました。でも、12月10日未明、テリー君は虹の橋を渡りました。
私達は、テリー君のためにお葬式を行ったのです。日本の習慣に従って、人間が行うのとほぼ同じものでした。そして遺体は荼毘に付されたのです。
I just picked up many photos of Terry by the time he became my family. Time went by so fast. I can't believe it's been already 13 years.
我が家に来た頃のテリー君の写真をあれこれ、アップしてみました。13年間があっという間の出来事に感じます。
He liked to go swimming. This one was his last swimming day.
プールに行くのが大好きだったテリー君。これが最後のプールになってしまいました。
On that day, he played at the field and looked so happy.
この日は、ドッグランでも遊んで、とても満足そうだったのです。
He enjoyed the restaurant food also.
レストランでの食事も楽しみました。
My adorable baby, Terry. Thank you for all of fun time we shared.
I love you forever. I won't forget about you.
大好きな大好きなテリー君。いっぱい楽しい時を過ごさせてくれてありがとう。
永遠に愛してるよ。
