Got Le Creuset Free Stuff

I got free gifts from the telephone company. It's sort of a mileage program.
I checked its retail price on the internet and learned that it cots 7,000 yen (about $70).
電話会社のポイントプログラムでこんなプレゼントをもらいました。
ネットでお値段調べたら、7,000円もするんだって！

What would I cook with this container?
この容器で何を調理しようかな？

Here is an enameled pot I have got from airline company by mileage program.
Yes, it's free gift too.
I've cooked curry, beef stew or have made some fruit jam so many times.
The color matched but I didn't plan it.
こちらは航空会社からもらった琺瑯鍋。マイレージポイント交換のため無料です。
これでカレー、ビーフシチューやジャムを何度も作りました。
色が今回のとマッチしてますが偶然そうなりました。

Recently I don't cook so much....
最近料理サボってるんだよね・・・

Where Do I Use it?

At an outlet store, I got a pair of this. Very comfy. It worked well for the slippery floor of my former office.
アウトレットで買ったこれ。とても快適。滑りやすい元職場の床にぴったりでした。

Now, where do I use it after my retirement?
引退した今、どこで使おうかしら？

The Remote Controllers

It happened the summer last year.
これは昨年の夏の話。

The remote controllers of air-conditioning were broken down. Two of them!
エアコンのリモコン壊れてしまった。２台とも！

How come I can survive this heatwave without the controller?
Fortunately, I have same brand's machine on other room. So I tried it. It worked!
このクソ暑い日々をどうやって乗り越えればいいの？
幸いかな別の部屋のエアコンが同じメーカーなので、試したら何とか使える！

But it's still inconvenience. I asked some info for the company. According to them, it's possible to get the remote control only. So I gave an order. They chareged 4,000 yen a piece! It costs a lot but I really needed them.
It took long while to be delivered though. I could reach them at last.
BUT.... It became colder and I didn't need them anymore.
でも不便ではある。そこでメーカーに聞いたらリモコンだけも購入できるとのこと。早速注文しました。１個４，０００円だって！でも必要だもんね。
なかなか届かなくてしばらくかかりました。やっと届いたら・・・
涼しくなってエアコン必要は無くなってしまったのさ。

My New Cooking Pan

I got a new cooking pan. It's dish washer safe!
So I cooked some French toast.
新しいフライパンをかいました。食洗い乾燥機対応です！
それで、フレンチトーストを作ってみました。

They looks lovely, don't they?
美味しそうな色でしょ？

So I added maple syrup.
メープルシロップをかけました。

Mmmm. Yummy!
う～ん。 美味しい！

Ready For Winter

It's getting so cold these days so I exchanged summer tires (below the photo) for winter ones.
寒くなってきたので、写真の夏用タイヤから、冬用に替えました。

Since I had an advance order so they gave me some deals;
10 percent discount and this free gift below.
早期予約の特典で割引と、こんなプレゼントももらいました。

It can be used as a plow also.
鍬としても使えるそうです。

Got winter tires already. Now I would say, my car is ready for winter.
スタッドレスタイヤ装着で、車の冬支度完了です。

I went Nishizawa Valley area to see autumn colors.
So where would I go next?
西沢渓谷の紅葉を楽しんできました。

Advanced Booking For Winter

I made an advance booking for winter tires of my car.
I followed their advice and picked Bridgestone ones at the shop.
They always work best for me so I trust them.
愛車の冬タイヤの注文をしました。
お店お勧めのブリジストンにしました。いつも誠実に対応してくれるので、信用しています。

They will give me 10 percent discount of the total price for my advanced booking.
It will cost a lot so it supposed to be a good saving for me.
Now I'm looking forward to go for my winter trip with the winter tires.
早期予約で１０％割引。金額が大きいので結構節約になります。
これで冬のお出かけが楽しみです。

My New Tool Of Bosch

Just got a new tools. The guy at the shop recommended. Actually I asked him to recommend me of the stuff that would be good for the very beginner.
新しく道具を買いました。店員さんお勧めの物です。実は、超初心者でも出来そうな物はどれかと尋ね、勧められたのがこれでした。

It is very nice one though.
なかなか良さそうだけどね・・・

I don't know if I can make some craft work  by myself.....
I'm already thinking of someone who could be a handy man....
私に出来るか不安でして・・・・
既に作業を誰かに頼むことを思案中です・・・

His New Seat on My Subaru XV Hybrid

This is one of the biggest shopping in my life.
Here is my Subaru XV hybrid!!
我が人生において、超高額な買い物の一つがこれ。
スバルのＸＶハイブリッド、アイサイト付きです。

This is called "Eyesight" system that works for supporting your safe driving. These twin cameras recognize the object in front of the car and the systems avoid the worst risks as well as possible.
これがアイサイト運転支援システム。このカメラで前方の物体を捉え、衝突などの危険回避動作を補助します。

Here is the inside the car.
You see lots of high-tech device and precision instruments.
I may need little more while to get used to them.
中はご覧の通り。
超ハイテク満載の器機がズラリで、慣れるまでに、まだ暫くかかりそうです。

How about the back seat? Well.....
後部座席はと言うと・・・・

This spot is exclusive for him.
この方専用の席なので。

So the seat is for his personal use only.....
専用席仕様になっています。

The fluffy cushion on the back is for all year round use.
The flat sheet kind in front has chilled insulation inside that is for his summer driving to keep him cool, protect him from the heatstroke.
Also eggplant toy is his "must have" item.
向こう側のフワフワしたクッションは通年利用。
手前のシート状の物は保冷剤入りで夏のドライブ専用。この方を涼しくさせる、熱中症予防用です。
オモチャの茄子も必需品です。

I got a gift from Subaru XV.　It is an air purifier with Plasuma Cluster function.
スバルXVからこんなプレゼントをもらいました。車載用プラズマクラスター付き空気清浄機です。

Well, Plasuma Cluster's durability is about 20,000 hours. When the time has come, it will need to change the units and it costs a lot. So I think I will keep this new one until the first one will be finished.
まあ、プラズマクラスターは２万時間位使うとユニットを交換しなくてはならなくて、それはかなり高価です。耐久年数が来るまで保管しておいて、２代目として使おうかな。

I took photos of these ones but I can't remember their names.
They are all nice and great anyway.
気になって写真を撮ったけど、何処のブランドか忘れてしまった。
素敵な作品であることは確かですね。

I found this at the booth of exhibits on sale.I liked it but the price wasn't good to me....
これは出店ブースで。良いなと思ったけど、お値段がね～、よろしくなかった（涙）

We looked around the exhibition so far long. Then we decides to have a break with this.
すご～くたくさん、色々見た後は、これでチョット一息。

Tableware Festival 2014 #3 What Terry Mama got

Terry Mama likes facets cutting glass. There are many kinds available in Japan.
This one below, Satuma Kiriko, facet cutting glass of Satuma style is one of them.
テリーママのお気に入りは切り子。日本には色々な切り子がありますが、この薩摩切り子もそのひとつ。

Especially she likes Edo Kiriko, facet cutting glass of Edo style.
そして一番のお気に入りは江戸切り子です。

She liked thses ones but she thought of them as one digit off in its price tag.....
これらがとても気に入ったらしいのです。でもね、値段を一桁見間違えてるし・・・（汗）

There is no photo for what she got though.
She bought a cute Edo Kiriko glass that is less expensive at the shop above the photo.
Also she got some cutlery at the shop below the photo.
写真は無いけど、結局このブースでお手軽価格のを購入しましたよ。
それからこちらのブースでカトラリーをお買い上げでした。

Tableware Festival 2014 #2 My Favorite Brands

So I looked around my favorite brands.
好きなブランドも見て回ります。

Crate and Barrel. Once I got the plate while I was in USA.
クレイトアンドバレルは、かつて米国にいたときプレートを購入したことがありました。

Williams-Sonoma. I used to go to the shop in the USA. They have lots of good stuffs.
ウイリアムズソノマもよく行っていた店。高品質の商品が一杯でお気に入りでした。

Villeroy and Boch is one of my choice. In fact I have their cutlery and tableware.
ビレロイアンドボッホのカトラリーや食器は何点か持っています。お気に入りブランドのひとつ。

I like Ittala Origo series. They are my taste and color. I have the plates only.
イッタラのオリゴは色や形とも好きなシリーズ。ただしプレートだけしか持ってないけど。

Kitacichi Glass is the shop I got my old wine glasses.
北一ガラスは私の古いワイングラスを購入した店。

Seletti is the one I want to have someday.
セレッティも素敵。いつか持ちたいね。

Sugahara is also nice. I don't have any of them though.
スガハラも素敵だね～。持ってないけど。

Minako Imada's display was cute and lovely.
今田美奈子さんのも可愛くて素敵だったな。

Tableware Festival 2014 #1

I went to Tableware Festival 2014 in Tokyo Dome.
東京ドームで開催中のテーブルウエアフェスティバルに行ってきました。

These Japanese taste mixed with foreign ones are very impressive and I liked them.
こんな和風テイストも印象的で素敵だなと思いました。

Another Big Shopping

Here is my another big shopping. I purchased a massage chair!
I have been thinking of it for a long while and finally I make it.
I have checked the retail price every once in a while and found a good price on the website.
Then I went to the store to purchase it. But it costed lots more than the website one. I asked them why.
Since it's the same store as I was visiting at. I asked them why they can't make it the same price as the website. It's their online store? They should do so! They said it won't debt their point program (sort of a mileage program). I don't mind!
If I won't say anything, what they would do? Sell them with higher price? Very tricky, ha!
このところ大物買いが続いていますが、以前から考えていた、マッサージチェアを買ってしまいました。
日頃からネットで価格をチェックしていまして、以前に比べけっこう安くなったので、購入しようかとお店に向かったのです。
でも店頭価格はオンラインショップずっとより高かったので、何故か尋ねました。だって同じ店のオンラインショップですよ。価格も同じに出来るはずでしょ？こちらの要求を受け入れ、結局ネットで見たのと同じ価格になりました。但し、還元ポイントは無しとのこと。全く問題なし！
もし何も言わなかったらどうなっていたんだろう？チョット不思議だよね。
