New Washing Machine

I got a new washing machine lately.
My old one has almost broken down in September. I had to buy a new one in a hurry.
Why in a hurry?
Because we would have a new consumption tax from October. So I rushed into the store. But....
最近、新しい洗濯機を買いました。
9月に古いのが不調に陥り、新しいのを急いで買う必要があったのです。
何故か？
それは10月から消費税が上がるから。そんな訳でお店にと急ぎました。しかし・・

In Japan, they release new models of washing machine in September. So usually we can buy the old model as a bargain price. But this time, the old ones were almost sold out because of the consumption matter!
What I could get was this dark colored one only. Actually I didn't like the color. If I get a brand new one, my favorite color is available however, it costs almost double. So I gave up the color option.
We have free deliver service as you know, I had to wait until mid October. Such how it was crowded. When it has come, the deliver man mentioned,
"I've been delivered this color only each day."
I guess everyone had the same idea as what I have had.
日本では、洗濯機の新型は9月に登場します。そのため通常は、型落ちのモデルを安く買う事が出来るのですが、今回は消費税の関係で、もう殆ど在庫が無い状態でした！
残っていたのは、この黒っぽい色のものだけ。私はこの色が気に入らなかったのです。新型なら希望する色があるのですが、値段は倍近くになります。それで諦めて、この黒っぽい色のになったのでした。
配達は、10月半ばまで待たなくてはいけませんでした。それほど混んでいたんです。そして配達に来た人が言うには、「この所、毎日この色ばかり配達していますよ。」
皆さん、私と同じことを考えていたようですね。

Anyway, I would say "Thank you" to my old machine.
まあとにかく、古い洗濯機には「ご苦労さんでした」と言いたいです。

His Joyful Honda Shopping As Usual

It's his shopping day at Joyful Honda. Terry Mama got many things.
ジョイフル本田でお買い物。今日はテリーママがたくさん買いました。

He waits for his mama's back patiently.
テリー君、良い子にしてママの帰りを辛抱強く待ちます。

Then he looks for particular direction.
そして、とある方向を眺めます

And he demands "something" without any words (woof).
そして一言（ワン）も言わずに「あるもの」を要求します。

Yes, he won again and got a new toy.... as usual. (Lol)
いつも通りに要求を通し、オモチャを買ってもらったのでした。（笑）

My New Purse Of Radley London

Recently, I bought a new coin purse.
最近、小銭入れを買いました。

It matches my other purse I bought before. It's the same brand, Radley London.
その少し前に買ったお財布と同じブランド、ラドレーの製品で、色もマッチしています。

They all go well with my key chain as well.
そしてキーホルダーともバッチリ合います！

As a matter of fact, I bought this bag a few weeks earlier. Then the day I bought my new coin purse, I found the bag was marked down...
Too bad! I should have waited a bit longer.
実は小銭入れを買うその少し前に、このバッグも買いました。
ところが・・この日バーゲンでバッグが値下げになっているのを発見しました。
早まったな！

Hey Auntie Nobue, that's too bad.
叔母ちゃん、それは残念だったね。

Oh well, I really like the pattern of the bag. You know why.
それでもこのバッグ、模様がとても気に入ってるの。理由はお分かりかと。

My New Wallet

I purchased a new wallet recently. Since my old one became shabby.
The best part is the dog pattern in the center of it.
最近お財布を買い換えました。古いのボロくなってしまったので。
中央の犬が最も気に入ってます。

Ham Katsu Senbei

I found this at a farmer's market. The package says "Ham katsu (ham cutlet) senbei (rice cracker)."
Is this cutlet or senbei?
マルシェでこんなのを見つけました。「ハムカツせんべい」と書いてあるけど、一体どっちなの？

Mmmmm, it doesn't look like cutlet nor rice cracker at all.
The taste?
Well.... it taste like sauce for cutlet.
う～ん、カツにもせんべいにも見えないけどね。
味？
そうねえ・・・ハムカツのソース味かな。

Where Do I Use it?

At an outlet store, I got a pair of this. Very comfy. It worked well for the slippery floor of my former office.
アウトレットで買ったこれ。とても快適。滑りやすい元職場の床にぴったりでした。

Now, where do I use it after my retirement?
引退した今、どこで使おうかしら？

Outdoor Village Akishima

It rather be an old post though, I would upload this.
ちょっと古い記事になってしまいましたが、アップします。

I went to Outdoor Village in Akishima that opened recently.
I purchased a new rain jacket there.
昭島に新しくオープンしたアウトドアビレッジに行って来ました。
ここで新しいレインジャケットを買いました。

Also I had lunch there.
It's called Gapao rice, Thai cuisine.
そしてランチも。
ガパオライスというタイ料理だそうです。

It was a bit spicy but it was good.
ちょっと辛いけど美味しかったです。

My New Cooking Pan

I got a new cooking pan. It's dish washer safe!
So I cooked some French toast.
新しいフライパンをかいました。食洗い乾燥機対応です！
それで、フレンチトーストを作ってみました。

They looks lovely, don't they?
美味しそうな色でしょ？

So I added maple syrup.
メープルシロップをかけました。

Mmmm. Yummy!
う～ん。 美味しい！

Ready For Winter

It's getting so cold these days so I exchanged summer tires (below the photo) for winter ones.
寒くなってきたので、写真の夏用タイヤから、冬用に替えました。

Since I had an advance order so they gave me some deals;
10 percent discount and this free gift below.
早期予約の特典で割引と、こんなプレゼントももらいました。

It can be used as a plow also.
鍬としても使えるそうです。

Got winter tires already. Now I would say, my car is ready for winter.
スタッドレスタイヤ装着で、車の冬支度完了です。

I went Nishizawa Valley area to see autumn colors.
So where would I go next?
西沢渓谷の紅葉を楽しんできました。
さて、次は何処行こうかな？

His Outfit From Costco Apparel

Look at his pretty nice outfit!
Terry Mama shopped it at Costco. This is the first time we saw their dog apparels.
テリー君のお洋服、オシャレでしょ！
テリーママがコストコで買いました。ワンコの服は初めて見かけましたよ。

Very well made.
とても良く作られています。

I know Terry wants to go out of town.
テリー君、お出かけしたくなっちゃうね～。

Advanced Booking For Winter

I made an advance booking for winter tires of my car.
I followed their advice and picked Bridgestone ones at the shop.
They always work best for me so I trust them.
愛車の冬タイヤの注文をしました。
お店お勧めのブリジストンにしました。いつも誠実に対応してくれるので、信用しています。

They will give me 10 percent discount of the total price for my advanced booking.
It will cost a lot so it supposed to be a good saving for me.
Now I'm looking forward to go for my winter trip with the winter tires.
早期予約で１０％割引。金額が大きいので結構節約になります。
これで冬のお出かけが楽しみです。

My New Tool Of Bosch

Just got a new tools. The guy at the shop recommended. Actually I asked him to recommend me of the stuff that would be good for the very beginner.
新しく道具を買いました。店員さんお勧めの物です。実は、超初心者でも出来そうな物はどれかと尋ね、勧められたのがこれでした。

It is very nice one though.
なかなか良さそうだけどね・・・

I don't know if I can make some craft work  by myself.....
I'm already thinking of someone who could be a handy man....
私に出来るか不安でして・・・・
既に作業を誰かに頼むことを思案中です・・・

His Reward

Terry has to stay home when Terry Mama and I would go shopping at Costco.
Since he has been very good boy so we got something for him. (Not always though.)
It was on sale. It costed only 977 yen (about $9)!! Great bargain at all.
コストコに行くときはテリー君はお留守番。
良い子にしているから、こんなお土産がもらえることもあります。(いつもじゃないけどね)
コストコのセールで９７７円でした。お買い得だったね～。

Well, both Terry and the cushion have big heads.
それにしてもテリー君のデカイ顔も負けていません。

They are both cute anyway.
どっちも可愛いけどね～。

Just The Name Or What?

I've been to Santa Monica California many times. I think there aren't any winery in that area though..... May be it's just the name or what?
カリフォルニア州サンタモニカには何度も行ったことがありますが、この地区にワイナリーは無いと思いますけど・・・単に名付けただけかも？

I got this at a grocery store near my house anyway.
まあとにかく、我が家の近くのスーパーで買いました。

His New Seat on My Subaru XV Hybrid

This is one of the biggest shopping in my life.
Here is my Subaru XV hybrid!!
我が人生において、超高額な買い物の一つがこれ。

This is called "Eyesight" system that works for supporting your safe driving. These twin cameras recognize the object in front of the car and the systems avoid the worst risks as well as possible.
これがアイサイト運転支援システム。このカメラで前方の物体を捉え、衝突などの危険回避動作を補助します。

You see lots of high-tech device and precision instruments.
I may need little more while to get used to them.
中はご覧の通り。

So the seat is for his personal use only.....
専用席仕様になっています。

The fluffy cushion on the back is for all year round use.
The flat sheet kind in front has chilled insulation inside that is for his summer driving to keep him cool, protect him from the heatstroke.
Also eggplant toy is his "must have" item.
向こう側のフワフワしたクッションは通年利用。
手前のシート状の物は保冷剤入りで夏のドライブ専用。この方を涼しくさせる、熱中症予防用です。
オモチャの茄子も必需品です。

"Must Buy" Cookies

I got a box of cookies at Costco. They are so cute and "Must Buy" items for me.
コストコでクッキーを一箱買いました。だって私には「マストバイ（＝買うべき)」商品でしたから。

Too cute to chew them up!!
この形がね～!!
可愛すぎて、食べるのもったいないくらい！

And it's tasty of course.
It goes well with tea. May be because it's from England.
もちろん、美味しい。
紅茶と良く合うし。きっとイギリスの物だからだね。

My New Sandals

I bought a new pair of sandals.
I didn't planned it though, my nail color and the sandals one are matched.
サンダル買いました。
意識してなかったですけど、ネイルカラーとしっかりマッチしてました。

I though it's already summer. But it became chilly again anyway.
すっかり夏、と思ったらまた寒くなってしまいました。

His Way of Shopping

Terry loved to go shopping with Auntie Nobue and Terry Mama.
テリー君は叔母ちゃんやテリーママとお買い物に行くのが大好きです。

We have special cart for dogs and many stores are introducing this kind in Japan.
日本では、犬が乗れる専用カートのある店が増えています。

This is food court. One of Terry's favorite place.
ここはフードコート。テリー君の好きな場所です。

The place behind the glass door is human's only. In our side, we can have meal with dogs but there are no meals for dogs.
Anyway Terry has food allergy so we always bring special food for him.
ガラス戸の向こうは人間専用。こちら側では犬も一緒に食事ができます。ただし犬用メニューはありません。
食物アレルギーのあるテリー君は、いつも専用フード持参です。

He watched very carefully, not to miss his food.
おやつをもらい損ねては大変と、じっと見つめています。

When he has done, he would relax himself like this.
食べ終わったら、こうしてリラックスモードに入ります。

Although he was watching the stuff we bought, he was getting sleepy....
購入した物を見張っていましたが、だんだん睡くなって・・・

And fallen asleep.
そのまま眠ってしまいました。
