Tour to Mt Fuji Area With Gorgeous Bus

I joined a tour to Maple Corridor. It included to see "Diamond Fuji (You may see the sun set on top of the mountain)"  but we had to give up the view since it wasn't fine clear day. In a short while I could see the mountain and I took some photos somehow.
河口湖の紅葉回廊などを巡るツアーに参加しました。
本当は山中湖でダイヤモンド富士を見る予定でしたが、あいにくの天気で断念せざるを得ませんでした。食事時にほんの一瞬、富士山が見えたので、急いで写真に撮りました。

I got on the gorgeous bus again. Yes, it has leather seats. It also has tablet to use for each passenger.
あの豪華バス利用です。勿論、座席は革張り。乗客一人一人が利用できるタブレットが装備されています。

The leaves are changing their colors though...
紅葉は綺麗に色づいているところもありますが・・

Maple Corridor stays green color at all.
紅葉回廊は、ほぼ緑色。

By the time, I could not see Mt Fuji.
富士山見えなくなっちゃったし。

You can see the nice view of Mt Fuji from this point though...
本来なら紅葉の向こうに富士山が見えるのだけれど・・・

I found beautiful red along the road on the way to.
途中の道路沿いに紅葉しているのもありましたけどね。

If it was a fine weather, we could see beautiful Mt Fuji from here. We couldn't make it. Too bad!
天気が良ければ、ここから富士山が綺麗に見えるのだけど、残念！

Anyway, it's lunch time. We dined at Lake Hotel by the Lake Kawaguchi. If it's fine weather, you can see great view of Mt Fuji.
とにかく、お食事にしましょう。富士山も見える、河口湖畔にあるレイクホテルで昼食です。

I don't like my new cellphone camera as I told you before. It doesn't work well.
ホント、今度の携帯カメラ嫌い。役に立たないんだもの。

I don't remember the details of dishes though. This one tasted good.
料理の詳細忘れちゃったけど、これは美味しかった。

This one went out focus again. I think it was grilled chicken.
これはポンボケになっちゃった。確か鶏肉だったと思う。

The dessert was pumpkin pudding. It was very good.
デザートはかぼちゃプリン。これは美味しかった。

Just a short while, we could see Mt Fuji from the restaurant.
ほんのわずかな間見えていた富士山です。

At first, our plan was to see "Diamond Fuji (sunset on top of Mt Fuji)" in Lake Yamanaka but we couldn't. So we headed to Mt Fuji Radar Doom Museum. They display the radar that was used by a weather observation on top of Mt Fuji. After they introduced weather satellite, the radar ended its mission and displayed this museum.
山中湖でダイヤモンドを見ることが出来ないので、代わりに富士山レーダードーム館に。
かつて富士山頂にあった気象レーダーが、気象衛星打ち上げによってその役割を終え、ここに展示されているのです。

You can experience temperature of minors 30 Celsius degree and wind condition of those days Radar Doom. It's just about 5 minutes though, it's so cold. So you can borrow a jacket. I tried, of course. Yes, it was very very cold.
ここでは、当時の富士山気象台の気候を体験できます。マイナス30度の中、吹き付ける風を約5分間体験できます。5分間と言えど、とても寒いので、ジャケットを借りることもできます。
私も中に入ってみましたが、それはそれは寒い一瞬でしたよ。

They also display a diorama to know how the things went on in those days.
かつて富士山頂で、このように設置されていた様子が模型で示されています。

You can see the real radar here. It moves the same way as those days.
実物のレーダーはこちらで、展示用に動いています。

At the entrance lobby, I saw such cute tree. All these ornaments were hand maded by volunteers. The small pond you see beside the tree is sort of like a mirror that show Mt Fuji. But it was not on that day .
ロビーにこんなツリーがありました。沢山のボランティアが一つ一つ手作りした人形だそうです。手前に見える池は、天気が良ければ富士山が映るようですが、この日は見ることが出来ませんでした。

Each doll has different lovely face .
それぞれ表情が違っていて、可愛いです。

I know I should come again.
また来ないとだね。

Arakurayama Sengen Park

It was a fine clear day so I went to Arakurayama Sengen Park in Yamanashi.
Somei-yoshino cherry blossoms are just full bloomed.
この日はとても良い天気だったので、山梨県にある新倉山浅間公園に行ってきました。

I parked my car at the bottom of the shrine and started to walk up there. The slope was not so steep so I could go up. Well, it took a long while though...
You can go up the 389 steps also.
神社の麓に車を駐車し、さっそく登り始めました。幸い坂の勾配は比較的緩やかなので、なんとか登れました。かなり時間はかかりましたけどね・・
ここは389段ある階段を登ることもできます。

I enjoyed the view on the way.
途中の景色も楽しみました。

Somei-yoshino cherry were all gone in Tokyo but you could enjoy them still here in yamanashi.
東京ではソメイヨシノはもう終わっていましたが、ここ山梨ではまだ十分楽しめました。

The one bad thing was the cloud that covered the best part of Mt Fuji.
一つ残念だったことは、富士山が雲に覆われて、最良の景色ではなかったこと。

When I reached the top of the hill, the cherry blossoms said "Hi" to me!
展望台についたとき、桜が「こんにちは」と言ってくれたみたいでした。

I took a break and enjoyed the scene for a while.
ここでしばし休憩し、景色を楽しみました。

People enjoyed it also.
皆さん、景色を楽しまれていましたよ。

After long way of walking, I needed a rest. So I had Cherry Blossom ice cream.
この長い工程を終えた後は、やはり休憩が必要。なので、桜のアイスクリームを頂きました。

This area, Yamanashi is also known to Hou-tou dish (Hot pot noodles).
Why not to have the one?
There are many of Hou-tou restaurant. When you see the sign "ほうとう" it's the place you can have this kind.
この地域、山梨ではほうとうも有名です。
当然これもいただきます。
この地域には沢山のほうとう専門レストランが沢山あります。「ほうとう」という看板を見かけたら、そこでは下の写真のような料理が頂けるのです。 　

They all tasted really good!
全部美味しかったですよ！

Clear View Of Mt Fuji

It was pretty fine day and I could see Mt Fuji clearly from my house. So I decided to go there and would take some photos.
Here is the one I took near the Otome Pass. Very nice view, isn't it?
この日は天気も良好で、自宅から富士山が綺麗に見えました。それで写真を撮りに行こうと思ったのです。
下の写真が乙女峠付近からの眺め。素晴らしい景色でしょう？

I tried to take photos many times before but I couldn't make it like this.
Look at the photo one after below.
これまでにも何度か撮影を試みたのですが、上手く行きませんでした。下の写真の次の物を見てください。

It covered by the clouds.
雲に覆われてしまいました。

I should say I'm lucky since I could see such nice view at last.
この景色と遭遇できたのはまさに幸運でした。

Then I moved to another view spot of the Otome Pass. The sunset is very beautiful from here though. It's so cold and I didn't want to stay so far long.
乙女峠の別の場所からの眺めです。ここからの夕暮れ風景もとても美しいのですが、寒い日だったので、長居はしたくなかったのでした。

Well, I stopped by Lake Yamanaka on the way back home.
Here, the view point of Lake yamanaka is also great.
Look at the mountain carefully.
Do you recognize that the shape is different from previous one?
帰路の途中、山中湖に立ち寄りました。
ここ、山中湖見晴台からの景色も素晴らしいのです。
山をよく見てくださいね。

Also do you see the mountains (white line kind) behind Mt Fuji?
It's Japan Alps (Hida Mountains, Kiso Mountains, Akashi Mountains.)
そして富士山の向こうに（白い線状の景色）山が見えますね？
これは日本アルプス（飛騨山脈、木曽山脈、明石山脈）です。

Oh well, I had another "must have" spot before I got home anyway.
そして帰宅前にはもう一つの「必須」スポットに立ち寄りでした。

Tour To Hakone Area #2 Owakudani

Owakudani is one of good view spot of Mt Fuji. You can enjoy the view like this.
大涌谷は富士山の眺めが素晴らしい場所で、こんな景色が楽しめます。

There are some ways to get there. I took cable car this time. Because I can see the mountain while I'm on board.
Here we go!
ここに行くにはいくつか方法がありますが、今回はケーブルカーを利用しました。車内から山の景色を楽しめるからです。
では出発！

It has double cable system for safeness of windy day.
強風対策で二重のケーブル方式になっています。

Going up hills like this.
こんな風に丘を昇って行きます。

It was fine clear day so you can see mountains close by.
この日は快晴で、山が近くに見えました。

There you go! You can see the top of the mountain by now.
ほら！富士山が見えてきました。

Then, much more!
さらに広範囲に！

It's hard to take photos from inside the car though. It looks as below.
車内から撮影するのが難しかったのですが、こんな感じに富士山が見られます。

Then I got off at Owakudani station.
そして、大涌谷駅で下車しました。

Owakudani is known as the black eggs. So I got the one. This one is smoked kind. They took shells already.
大涌谷は黒卵でも有名です。早速購入してみました。燻製タイプです。殻は既に剝かれています。

It was a regular egg however, the egg while went black outside and gray  inside. Well, egg yolk stays yellow still anyway.
Since it's smoked kind so it tastes smoked egg.
もとは普通の卵ですが、白身の外側が真っ黒。内部は灰色。黄身は変わらず黄色でした。
味は、燻製卵ですから、燻製の味です。

On the way back home, I stopped by this spot.
Ah! Mt Fuji wears the "hat" again.
Mmmmmm, I have to come again!
帰宅途中、この場所にも立ち寄りました。
残念！富士山、またしても「帽子」かぶってました。
う～ん、また来なくっちゃ！
