Hina-nin-gyou Dolls

March 3 is called Hina-matsuri (Dolls Festival) in Japan. People display Hina-nin-gyou dolls like the photos below.
I went a local museum and saw some displays.
３月３日は、ひな祭り。下の写真のようにひな人形を飾ります。
私は地方の博物館に行き、これらの展示を見てきました。

There are many kinds of dolls and many ways of displays. Its origin was something different as recently, however, these dolls became a part of trousseau for the bride.
So when they have a daughter, the parents or grand parents gave these dolls and wished her a happy marriage in the future as the tradition in Japan.
ひな人形は、色々種類があって、飾り方も色々のようです。起源となる故事は今とは異なるようですが、この人形達は嫁入り道具としての役割をしています。
それ故、女の子が生まれると、両親や祖父母がひな人形を贈り、その娘の幸せな結婚を願うというのが伝統になっています。

In some places, they show the dolls to their neighbors.
場所によってはこのようにご近所に披露するところもあるようです。

They are so pretty.
綺麗ですね。
