Problem of This Blog

There are some problems on this blog lately. I can't upload the photos. So I tried to install their suggested "Chrome" but it doesn't work at all. Since then it makes me so stressful. I don't know what's wrong with.
最近このブログで色々問題があり、写真が全くアップできません。それで推奨されているというchromeをインストールしようとしましたが全く出来ません。そんなことがストレスになっています。一体どうなっているか分かりません。  

Sweet Collections

Do you like anything sweet?
Me? Why not?!
I happened to find a new store the other day. It is one of well-known store in this area. So I picked up the award-wining one.
皆さんは甘いのお好きですか?
私？当然でしょう!
最近、発見したのはこの界隈で有名な店。早速コンテスト受賞作品を購入してみました。

I bought it at the shop named "Ichirin".

Ichirinnという名のお店で買いました。

On the other hand we had this fish cake at other store. I don't remember where though. Since Terry's Mama has retired her job carrier last March. She could have one more year for her actual retirement age though, she didn't want to continure. Anyway, I got this one for her special day.
こちらの魚ケーキは別の店で購入しましたが、何処だったか覚えていません。テリーママが定年まであと1年を残して3月末に退職しまして、その記念に買いました。

The Annular Eclipse 2012 in Tokyo

Yes! I made it right now!!
I am lucky enough to have a special filter that my coworker gave me so I could take some photos for!!
たった今撮りました!
幸運にも同僚より特別なフィルターを頂く事が出来、写真を撮れました。

Here is the amazing astronomical show!! It's absolutely stare in wonder.

それでは驚異の天体ショー開始です。 本当にすごいですよ。

Oh well, I asked Terry to wake me up early though....
テリー君に早く起こしてって頼んでおいたんですけどね・・・

From Lake Kawaguchi

It was a week after Terry's spring vacation in Lake Yamanaka. Terry Mama(my sis) and I went to Lake Kawaguchi together. Poor Terry was home alone though.... We visited "Kawaguchiko Music Forest"
テリー君が山中湖の春休みを過ごしてから1週間後、私とテリーママ(姉)は河口湖に行きました。可哀相なテリー君はお留守番でしたけど・・・

We visited Kawaguchiko Music Forest where Terry can't go into. So he had to stay home.
私たちは河口湖オルゴールの森美術館へ行きましたが、テリー君は入れないんです。それ故のお留守番でした。

We could see Mt Fuji so clear!
富士山がとてもきれいでした!

Terry's Spring Vacation 2012

We didn't go anywhere at first week of May that is called "Golden Week". Although we have straight 5 days Holiday but it would be a big clouds everywhere. Instead, Terry already had his vacation in Lake Yamanaka.
ゴールデンウイークと呼ばれる5月の第1週は何処にも出掛けませんでした。5日連続の休みでしたけど、何処へ行っても混雑必至。テリー君は既に山中湖にて休暇を過ごしています。

 

 

 

This time we could see Mt Fuji much better than the one we had before. In fact we saw nice views on the way to. Since I was driving my car, Terry Mama(my sis) took some photos instead of me. (I gave her directions of its photogenic point though)
今回はいつもより富士山が良く見えました。車を運転中の私に代わってテリーママがそれを撮影しました。(撮影ポイントは私が指示したんですけどね)

We had tasty beef stew at the restaurant, Casserole. They accept dogs. Very nice place!
私たちはCasseroleというレストランでビーフシチューを戴きました。ここは犬も入れるのです。とても素敵なところです!

We stopped this view point on the way to the restaurant.
それからシチューを食べに行く途中でこちらの展望台にも立ち寄りました。

Too bad! Mt. Fuji was covered with could.
残念ながら富士山には雲がかかっていましたが。

After all Terry played at the leash free park of his favorite.
その後はいつものドックランで遊びました。

Fashion Dog --- Terry's Bathrobe

My New Toy

I bought a new tool a few months ago.
Guess what?
数ヶ月前にある道具を買いました。
何だと思いますか?

It is like camera though...
カメラみたいですけど・・・

It's my new cell phone. It is very smart though, it's not i-phone.
As many of you knew that our cell phone have already featured i-phone kind functions before it has come. The best part of it is easy to use.
i-phone (so to called smart phone) has too much and rather be complicated.
I tried some of smart phone at the shop.
In conclusion it's not for me! So I got this (it's not i-phone kind).
私の新しい携帯電話です。とてもスマート(お利口)だけどスマートフォンじゃありません。
皆さんの多くがご存じのように、日本の携帯電話はアイフォンよりはるか前に、こういう機能搭載の物が出ていました。そして最も良い点は使い方が(スマホよりも)簡単だと言うこと。
スマートホンは多機能だけど、操作が難解と言われています。それで店頭で実際に色々試した結果、スマホではないこれを選びました。

画面をこうしてねじると・・・

It works as camera screen. The release button is on the top right square. Just touch it and you can take a picture.
Or focus on someone's face. When the person smiles, it release the shutter automatically. They call it "smile shutter."
カメラが起動します。シャッターボタンは右上に。そこに触れるだけで写真が撮れます。
あるいは、人の顔に焦点を当てると、その人が笑った時自動的にシャッターが切れます。スマイルシャッターと言うそうです。

The Leap Day of a Leap Year 2012

February 29, Wednesday was the leap day of a leap year. We all know it is unusual. Then we had very unusual thing on that day this year.
In Tokyo winter, wen don't have much snow but this year on this day.....
It snowed soooo much! (over 10 centimeters of snow in half a day)
It may not so much if you live in snow area though. It IS a big thing in Tokyo.
閏年の閏日、２月２９日は珍しい日であることは周知の事実です。でも今年は本当に異常な年でした。
通常、東京の冬は あまり雪が降りません。でも今年は・・・
そりゃあもう、た～～～いへん!!(半日の間に１０センチ以上積もったんです)
雪国からしたら何でもない事でしょうが、東京では一大事なのです。

Sweet Valentine?

On Valentine's Day, Ji-chan wanted something special. He means something delicious food and drink. I got wine for "drink".  And this chocolate cake for "food". He liked them so much.
バレンタインデーの日、爺ちゃんが何か特別な物を食べたいと言い出しました。何か美味しい飲食物という事で、「飲」にはワインを、「食」にはチョコレートケーキを用意しました。とても気に入ったようです。

スイート(ロマンチック)なバレンタインデー?
いいえ!　バレンタインデーのスイーツ(お菓子)です・・・(笑)

After my lunch, I 've continued to look around the exhibition.
昼食後は展示見学の再開です。

Tow photos above has Sakura (cherry blossoms) and show taste of spring. I like such modern Japanese table setting.

上の写真２つは、いずれも桜を用いて春の香りを醸し出しています。モダンな日本的セッティングで気に入りました。

Halloween setting supposed to be a cute party for kids.
ハロウィーンのセッティングは可愛くて、子供達のパーティーに良さそう。

The photos above are from Venetian glass factory of Venice, Italy. I've got some when I'd been there. So the glasses reminded me of those days memories.

上の写真２枚はベネチアンガラス。以前ベニスに行ったとき購入した物があるので、当時に思いを馳せました。

The photo above is Kita-ichi glass factory stuffs. I also got some wine glasses from the factory when I've visited there in Otaru, Hokkaido.
They are hand-made ones with high quality and skills. Masterpiece!
こちらは北一ガラスの製品です。北海道の小樽市にも行ったことがありまして、こちらで購入したワイングラスを持っています。

ハンドメイドで高い品質と技術に裏打ちされた作品達。傑作ですね。

これは（たぶん）スワロフスキーの作品だと思います。

 There were lots of exhibition and spot sale. You can buy these kind above if you'd like to.
多くの展示即売品もあり、気に入ればその場で購入できます。

At Raynaud booth, they demonstrate how to use spice in many ways.
レイノーのブースではスパイスの使い方を実演していました。

Since Tokyo Dome is a baseball stadium.  I saw "must have" person who sells beverage. So I got thirsty and had a tea break. I didn't buy anything from her. Because she had pop soda only. I don't care so much for it.
(会場の)東京ドームは野球場ですから、飲み物を販売するこの人がいなくては・・と言う訳で喉が渇いてきまして、休憩することに。でもコーラのみを販売する彼女からは何も買いませんでした。炭酸系はあまり好きではないので。

After my tea break, I looked around again.
お茶休憩のあと再び見学です。

Oh I heard beautiful sound somewhere. These musical instruments are made by glass!!
どこからか素敵な音色が聞こえてきました。これらの楽器は何とガラス製なんです!!

Did I buy any? No, no! I like this Arita porcelain pasta plate very much but it was sold out. Too bad!
で、何か買ったのかって？いいえ! この有田焼のパスタプレートがとても気に入っていたのですが、既に売り切れでした。残念だ!

I've enjoyed the event that day.
それにしても楽しい一日でした。
